While federal law does back h...This is interesting. While federal law does back him up for having an ESA in housing, the dog isn't going to help him deal with the general public. The dog may help him get out of the house and such because it requires walks and that may force this man to interact with the public. But an ESA has no access in grocery stores so that little tidbit isn't applicable. It would likely be in the condo complex's best interest to follow what HUD says. However, the ADA does not cover ESAs so this dog would not be allowed into grocery stores and other public accommodations.
